Operator overview: Rosmontis

Rosmontis is a 6★ Flinger Sniper who specializes in DPS and only available from Celebration limited headhunting banners starting from Path of the Radiant; until then, she is only available in Forget Me Not. Being limited banners, the "pity" system from other banners are not carried over to every Celebration banner, but to compensate that, Rosmontis has a 70% chance in Forget Me Not and a 30% chance in Path of the Radiant, Abyss Corrosion, and Through a Path of Briars to be the 6★ Operator that appears in a pull and can be purchased at the Certificate Store for 300 Headhunting Data Contract icon.png while Forget Me Not and other Celebration banners starting from Path of the Radiant is up.

Rosmontis has a very long range of 3×4 tiles with a 1-tile extension in the front and 3-tile extension to the sides when promoted to Elite 1 – like that of Deadeye Snipers, but her ATK is on a rather low spectrum. What defines Rosmontis as an Flinger Sniper, however, is that she cannot attack aerial enemies and her attacks inflict splash damage on ground enemies (and only ground enemies) around the primary target twice, but the second hit is a "shockwave" with only half the first hit's ATK.

Talents

  1. Armaments of Annihilation causes Rosmontis' attacks (including the shockwaves) to ignore a certain flat amount of the target's DEF.
  2. Stable Esthesia buffs the ATK of Rosmontis and a random Caster while she is deployed, who will be marked by a shimmering pillar of light on them.
    • Similar to Exusiai's Angel's Blessings, Stable Esthesia can be effective if the player manages their deployment orders correctly to ensure that it is applied to the desired Operator.

Skills

  1. Expanded Cognition has offensive SP recovery, which causes Rosmontis' attack to deal an additional instance of Arts damage when charged.
  2. Nociceptor Inhibition buffs Rosmontis' ATK and expands her attacks' splash damage radius to 2 tiles as well as making her attacks deliver two additional shockwaves — essentially causing her attacks to hit the victims four times — and have a 20% chance to Stun the target(s), but increases her attack interval by 50% while active.
    • Even though Nociceptor Inhibition causes Rosmontis to attack slower and does not buff her ATK much, it does allow her to deal with large crowds of enemies efficiently and its good uptime makes Nociceptor Inhibition a solid option to improve Rosmontis' DPS and allows her to stall stronger enemies by chance due to the number of shockwaves or deal up to 2.5× damage which can turn weaker enemies into dust.
    • Nociceptor Inhibition's overall Stun chance is actually higher so long as any of the four hits proc the Stun, at ~59% or almost three times the proc chance in each shockwave.
    • However, Nociceptor Inhibition will lower Rosmontis' DPS if the targets' DEF is high enough to shrug off the shockwaves as the Stun effect will not stall them long enough to compensate, unless the skill is at Mastery 3.
  3. "As You Wish" buffs Rosmontis' ATK, halves her attack interval (thus making her attack twice as fast), and causes her attacks to hit up to two targets within range, but she will only target enemies that are being blocked while active. When "As You Wish" is activated, two Rosmontis's Tactical Equipments will spawn on melee tiles within Rosmontis' range (prioritizing those with ground enemies), which Stuns enemies on the surrounding tiles upon spawning and reduces the DEF of enemies they are blocking by 160 and lingers until "As You Wish" expires or Rosmontis leaves the map.
    • While unwieldy to use due to the drawback of making Rosmontis only attack blocked enemies (priorizing those blocked by the Equipments), "As You Wish" can be the bane of any high-DEF enemies if used correctly, where the combination of Armaments of Annihilation's DEF ignore, Tactical Equipments' flat DEF reduction (which does stack if a single enemy is pinned by both Equipments!), buffed ATK, and much faster attack rate means that no enemies will stand a chance of survival when Rosmontis unleashes "As You Wish".

Operator Module

The BOM-X Module, "Notes", adds a second shockwave to Rosmontis' attacks in addition to increasing her maximum HP and ATK. Once upgraded, Armaments of Annihilation's DEF ignore is increased.

Base skills

Rosmontis' base skills improve Factory efficiency that depends on the amount of resting Operators while she is assigned to one.

  1. Extrasensory provides 1 Perception Information for every Operator resting in Dormitories and converts Perception Informations into Chains of Thought at a 1:1 ratio.
  2. Psychokinesis increases productivity by 1% for every 2 Chains of Thought. At Elite 2, Psychokinesis becomes Manifestation of Consciousness with a lower Chain of Thought threshold of 1.

Summary

Rosmontis is an unusual but outstanding introduction to the Flinger Snipers who, despite her extreme rarity, combines the best aspects of Artilleryman and Deadeye Snipers into one package by delivering heavy splash damage to ground enemies in her way and ensuring their utter destruction, regardless of who or what they are.

As the old saying goes: "The bigger they are, the harder they fall."
