While having a rather confined area to deploy melee units, Abandoned Mine features strong enemies such Mudrock Matterllurgists with a balanced stats (and basically acts as a regular ranged enemy since there are no L-44 Gramophones) and Mudrock Zealots who spawns with an Arts-absorbing barrier and is nearly impossible to be taken down with physical damage alone, in addition to two Defense Crushers who can stun friendlies every several attacks.

The main threat of Abandoned Mine, however, lies in the following enemies:

  • Big Bob and Mudrock. That's right, two buddies from their time in Reunion now reunited (no pun intended) as they wanted in the story to kick the butts of unprepared Operators with the former's sheer ATK and the latter's attacks which becomes stronger the more she attacks, and won't go down easily due to the former's great DEF and the latter's shield which absorbs a great deal of Arts damage before breaking and can be periodically restored. The Objective: Heavy Armor contracts will make the duo more threatening and literally unstoppable by buffing their HP, ATK, and RES, buffs Big Bob's DEF, and makes Mudrock's shield stronger (both of which from Level 2) in addition to reducing the cooldown of her shield restoration ability (at Level 3).
  • Mudrock Colossi. These towering golem-like beings first seen in Twilight of Wolumonde are infamous for their literally colossal defenses that makes almost every known attacks barely scratch them and their slow punches are capable of KOing all but the VERY sturdiest of Operators with a single hit, but thankfully they move at a lumbering pace, thus giving the player the opportunity to stall them so that the Operators can focus on other, less tanky enemies. While the Colossi have less HP than in TW to make up for the fact that there are no Gramophones present, which is the most reliable way to kill them, they are still a looming danger especially with the Mudrock contracts that buffs their HP, ATK, and RES, to the point it is almost impossible to take down the Colossi with conventional methods, and to compound this, the Indomitable Earth contracts make them can no longer be slowed or binded while the Wild Earth contracts make them can no longer be stunned, literally putting the player between a rock and a hard place!

There are several Rubbles which detours the path of enemies similarly to Roadblocks until they are destroyed by the Colossi, but do note that the Environment: Rubble Cleanup contract will remove most of the Rubbles, allowing enemies to take the shortest path to the objective.
