[Two Remnant Orchestra Flautists move toward Dobermann while several Remnant Orchestra Trumpeters are circling around the Remnant Orchestra Wind Player.]
<Game paused>
Czerny There is always music playing in Zwillingstürme, and the mediocre are bound to be swayed by its tune. If it changes, so too will their attacks.
<A meter in the HUD, below the enemy and Life Point counters, is highlighted> However, it will always follow a specific progression, and we've already interpreted the music in this area: there will be three variations in battle.
<Two short segments on the meter's left are highlighted> The piece will at times be passionate.
<A long segment on the meter's right is highlighted> And at times melancholic.
<Game unpaused>
[Another Trumpeter spawns and heads toward Dobermann as an indicator on the aforementioned meter, which represents the variation, moves to the first of the two short segments representing the passionate variation. As the variation becomes passionate, the environment changes to a vibrant orange with the Trumpeters moving faster and a cross-shaped icon above them glows.]
<Game paused>
Hibiscus Oh no! The enemies' ASPD and Movement Speed have suddenly increased after listening to the passionate melody!
Czerny A passionate piece will rouse their spirits, greatly increasing their ASPD and Movement Speed while reducing their DEF.
<Game unpaused>
[The Flautist engaging Dobermann also noticeably attacks faster, but Dobermann takes him out anyway thanks to Hibiscus' support as the Trumpeter approaches her.]
<Game paused>
Czerny <The Trumpeter is highlighted> Some will even resonate with the music and gain special abilities, so be sure to act accordingly.
<Game unpaused>
[Czerny himself is deployed ahead of Dobermann to back her up, with Kroos following close by. Note that the Trumpeter's attack deals Arts damage and hits targets adjacent to the main target every several attacks in the passionate variation, causing him to damage not only Czerny, but also Dobermann and Hibiscus. Nevertheless, the Trumpeter is taken out as another spawns, while Kroos fires at one of the two devices ahead of her until its SP is full (albeit its skill cannot be activated yet), at which she attacks the other one.]
<Game paused>
Kroos Whoops! Think I hit something by mistake—Ah! It lit up!
Czerny <The upper device is highlighted> That is a Tuning Node keeping the music in harmony, and it will come under our control after taking a number of attacks.
<The lower device, now known as a Tuning Node, is highlighted> If we can manage to control all the nodes in the area, we'll be able to change the music playing here and hinder the enemy's advance!
<Game unpaused>
[As the second Trumpeter approaches, Kroos fires at the lower Tuning Node, but it has some kind of an Arts shield to its right that blocks all of her shots.]
<Game paused>
Kroos <The lower Tuning Node is highlighted> But this other node's got some kinda Arts blocking any hits on it, and nothing's making a dent.
Czerny That would be a one-way Arts screen. Try a different angle.
<Game unpaused>
[Fang is deployed below the lower Tuning Node as the first passionate variation ends.]
<Game paused>
Fang I'll take care of it!
<Game unpaused>
[Fang strike the lower Tuning Node and managed to charge it up as the Trumpeter is only a few steps away toward Czerny.]
<Game paused>
Czerny I see all the nodes are under our control. Activate them with the proper timing to change the music and disrupt their advance!
<Game unpaused>
[More Trumpeters show up as the second one is eliminated, with the ones circling the Wind Player also moving in as well. Meanwhile, the second passionate variation starts as Amiya and Lava are available for deployment, and the Tuning Nodes become able to be activated.]
<Game paused>
Hibiscus The music's turned passionate again, and there's a bunch of enemies headed our way!
Czerny <A Tuning Node is highlighted> Now! Adjust it with the node!
Enemies swayed by a melancholic piece will have slightly reduced ASPD and Movement Speed, but their ATK will be greatly increased.
After using the node to adjust the music to a melancholic variant, our units' ASPD will be slightly reduced, but their ATK will be greatly increased as well. However, this effect is only momentary, so be sure to make use of it.
<The Wind Player is highlighted> Furthermore, melancholic music may also benefit certain enemies, so feel free to improvise as necessary based on the situation.
<Game unpaused>
[(The player deploys Amiya and/or Lava at their discretion, and activates either Tuning Node) The variation switches to melancholic as the environment changes to a gloomy purple, slowing down the Trumpeters and disabling their area-of-effect attack, making them less of a danger to the Operators. Notice that both Tuning Nodes has to be charged all over again after any of them is activated. After the altered variation ends and the Trumpeters are eliminated, the Wind Player's moves in. Note that the Wind Player's attack will Stun the target during the melancholic variation, indicated by a purple circle above him glowing, (the player activates either Tuning Node when the melancholic variation starts, altering it to passionate) which is rendered a moot point at the passionate variation and allowing the Operators to take him out without much trouble.]
