Operator overview: Saria

Saria is a 6★ Guardian Defender who specializes in Defense, Healing, and Support. As a Guardian Defender, Saria can block two enemies initially or three when promoted to Elite 1 and has innate RES, but lower HP and DEF than Protector Defenders. As with most Defenders, Saria has a very short range (where Saria can only attack enemies who are on the same tile as her) but her ATK is surprisingly higher than Protector Defenders — even topping that of Hoshiguma, but below Blemishine.

Talents

  1. Rhine Charged Suit slightly buffs Saria's ATK and DEF every 20 seconds starting from when she iss deployed, which stacks additively up to five times.
  2. Refreshment restores 1 SP to friendly units healed by Saria (including Saria herself).

Skills

  1. Like some Guardian Defenders' first skill, First Aid has Saria heal a friendly unit whose HP had fallen below 50% in the surrounding tiles by a portion of her ATK when charged, which can store multiple charges at higher levels.
  2. Medicine Dispensing has Saria heal friendly units in the surrounding tiles with 3-tile extensions to all four cardinal directions by a portion of her ATK when charged.
    • Having a relatively low SP cost, Medicine Dispensing turns Saria into a pseudo-Multi-target Medic who can heal her allies as efficiently as Medical Medics.
  3. Calcification restores the HP of friendly units within a radius of 3 tiles around Saria by a small portion of her ATK every second and amplifies the Arts damage taken by enemies within said radius as well as reducing their movement speed by 60%, but disarms her (which is not stated in-game) while active.
    • Calcification is excellent when facing hordes of enemies to make them easier to eliminate by concentrated DPS from Casters while the healing effect also allows Saria to keep her comrades alive while doing so.

Operator Modules

Saria's Operator Modules emphasizes on either healing wounded friendly units or improving her capability as a Defender:

  1. The GUA-X Module, Unused Boxing Gloves, increases the effectiveness of Saria's healing on friendly units whose HP had fallen below 50% by 15% in addition to increasing her maximum HP and ATK. Once upgraded, Refreshment's SP restoration is doubled and, at Stage 3, tripled for Rhine Lab Operators (including Saria herself).
  2. The GUA-Y Module, Technology Rising Star Award, reduces the damage Saria took by 15% in addition to increasing her maximum HP and ATK less than Unused Boxing Gloves, and DEF. Once upgraded, Rhine Charged Suit's interval is reduced and its ATK/DEF buff are increased.

Base skill

Clue Search α increases the clue search rate by 10% while Saria is assigned to the Reception Room. At Elite 2, Clue Search α becomes Watchman which also makes R.L. clues easier to obtain the longer Saria is in the Reception Room.

Summary

Saria is a versatile Guardian Defender who can not only act as a Defender/Medic hybrid, but also supports other Operators by acting as an SP generator and Arts damage amplifier, making her a good choice for most operations especially those involving swarms of hard-hitting enemies.

What's Saria's answer when asked why won't she and her allies die? "Calcification, boy! They harden in response to physical trauma!"
