Heavyrain is a 5★ Protector Defender who specializes in Defense and Support, and the welfare Operator of A Walk in the Dust, awarded by completing the Song of Dust mission which requires the player to clear WD-4 with Heavyrain's Token.png Heavyrain's Token available in the Reefstep Black Market for 200 Scattered Sketch.png, 240 Scattered Sketch.png, 280 Scattered Sketch.png, 320 Scattered Sketch.png, and 360 Scattered Sketch.png. As a Protector Defender, Heavyrain can block up to three enemies and posesses both high HP and DEF, allowing her to last longer than other Operators, though this comes with the cost of having low ATK and very short range of the tile she was on.

Talent

Striped Camouflage gives Heavyrain and friendly units in the surrounding ranged tiles to her a slight chance to dodge Physical attacks.

Skills

  1. Emergency Camouflage applies a buff to the friendly unit in the surrounding tiles to her whose HP had fallen below half which camouflages the friendly and gives them HP regeneration for 4 seconds, and can store multiple charges from Specialization Level 1. Keep in mind that Heavyrain will never use Emergency Camouflage on a friendly unit already under its effect.
  2. Group Camouflage disarms Heavyrain but buffs her maximum HP and DEF, and camouflages herself and friendly units in the adjacent tiles to her while active.
    • Group Camouflage's drawback is not that problematic for Heavyrain, since the camouflage bestowed by it protects her and her allies from enemy ranged attacks, and the buffed HP and DEF improves Heavyrain's survivability when she had to block the enemies.

Operator Module

The PRO-Y Module, Stickers of a Popular Character, increases Heavyrain's block count to 4 in addition to her maximum HP and DEF. Once upgraded, Striped Camouflage's Physical dodge proc chance is increased.

Base skills

  1. Guarding has Operators in the Control Center (including Heavyrain herself) recover 0.05 morale per hour while Heavyrain is assigned there, which stacks with other similar base skills.
  2. Defender Expert α speeds up the skill Specialization training of Defenders by 30% while Heavyrain is assigned as the trainer in the Training Room. At Elite 2, Defender Expert α becomes Field Experience which speeds up the training further by 45% if it is for Specialization Level 2.

Summary

Heavyrain is an unusual Protector Defender who can protect herself and her allies from enemy ranged attacks instead of improving their survivability, making her quite difficult to use but can be worth it in certain situations.

Heavyrain truly embodies the old adage: discretion is the better part of valor.
