Grani is a 5★ Charger Vanguard who specializes in DP-Recovery and Defense, and the welfare Operator of Grani and the Knights' Treasure, awarded as one of the first clear rewards of GT-3 with Grani's Token.png Grani's Token available in the Exchange Shop for 2400 Bounty Coin.png, 3000 Bounty Coin.png, 3600 Bounty Coin.png, 4200 Bounty Coin.png, and 4800 Bounty Coin.png. Since the Pinus Sylvestris event, Grani can be obtained through Record Restoration.

As a Charger Vanguard, 1 DP will be generated whenever Grani defeats an enemy and she will refund her base DP cost when retreated instead of half that other Operators do, but can only block one enemy. Compared to other Chargers, Grani have higher DEF but lower ATK, which could make her last longer in the field but difficult to deal with large waves of enemies in the early game.

Talent

Mounted Police gives Vanguards (including Grani herself) a chance to dodge Physical attacks while Grani is deployed.

Skills

  1. DEF Up γ buffs Grani's DEF while active.
  2. Press the Attack! buffs Grani's ATK and DEF, increases her block count by one, and makes her attacks hit multiple enemies within range equal to her block count, but reduces her range to only the tile she was on while active.
    • Despite the drawback, Press the Attack! is surprisingly a good fit for Grani's expected role, allowing her to generate large amounts of DP in a short time especially on Tactical Drill where additional DP is given each time an enemy is defeated. Its high initial SP allows Grani to use Press the Attack! relatively quickly after deployment, so she can be dropped to generate DP by clearing swarms of enemies and retreated once it expires to give even more DP.

Operator Module

The CHG-X Module, Cavalry Policeman Suit, increases the DP generated when Grani defeats an enemy to 2 and refunds her current DP cost when retreated in addition to increasing her maximum HP and DEF. Once upgraded, Mounted Police's Physical dodge chance is increased.

Base skill

Vanguard Expert α speeds up the skill Specialization training of Vanguards by 30% while Grani is assigned as the trainer in the Training Room. At Elite 2, Vanguard Expert α becomes Vanguard Expert β with a higher training speed boost of 50%.

Summary

Like other Charger Vanguards, Grani performs well to counter swarms of enemies in the early game and can pave the way for better Operators to be deployed in her place. Her higher DEF, however, allows Grani to hold the line until the mid-game and Press the Attack! allows her to be dropped before a horde of enemies to mow them down while generating large sums of DP in the process.
