Ch'en is a 6★ Swordmaster Guard who specializes in DPS and Nuker. As a Swordmaster Guard, Ch'en's attacks do two hits in quick succession, essentially doubling the damage she deals. However, Ch'en is still considered to have attacked once, so each of her attacks adds 1 SP as usual, which can be detrimental to charging up her skills (see below) as all three of them have an offensive SP recovery and her ATK is on a lower end to offset the aforementioned quirk. Ch'en has somewhat below average HP (but still quite high nonetheless), above average DEF, and can block up to two enemies, but her DP cost is quite high (between Dreadnought and Centurion Guards) that increases with each promotion.

Talents

1. Scolding periodically has Operators with offensive and defensive SP recovery for their skill restore 1 SP while Ch'en is deployed.
2. Blade Art slightly buffs Ch'en's ATK and DEF, and gives her a small chance to dodge Physical attacks.

Skills

1. Sheathed Strike has Ch'en attack the target with the sheathed Chi Xiao when charged, dealing more damage and Stuns them for a short time.
   • Sheathed Strike can be helpful to increase her sustained DPS without micromanagement.
2. Chi Xiao - Unsheath has Ch'en swiftly unsheath her Chi Xiao before sheathing it again, unleashing a burst that inflicts two instances of damage — one Physical and one Arts — to multiple enemies, both ground and aerial, in a radius of 2×3 tiles with a 2-tile extension ahead of her (like that of Lord Guards' range).
   • At Specialization Level 3, Chi Xiao - Unsheath can be used as soon as Ch'en is deployed, leading to some out-of-the-box strategies such as using Ch'en as a "panic button" especially against aerial units which slipped past other Operators.
3. Chi Xiao - Shadowless has Ch'en unleash ten near-instantaneous slashes at enemies in a radius of 2 tiles around her that prioritizes closer ones (in a manner resembling Omnislash on the Final Fantasy series) which deals high damage on each hit with the tenth and last one also Stunning the target for a short time, and Ch'en is invulnerable but cannot block enemies while launching the slashes.
   • Though each hit is not as damaging as Chi Xiao - Unsheath, the number of hits make Chi Xiao - Shadowless excellent for clearing groups of enemies and the Stun on the last attack also allows it to cause serious damage towards bosses, if not defeating them outright.

Operator Modules

1. The SWO-X Module, Rhodes Island Standard Combat Sword, increases the damage dealt by Ch'en's skills by 10% in addition to increasing her ATK and ASPD. Once upgraded, Scolding's interval is reduced and Ch'en herself will restore 1 additional SP from it at Stage 3.
   • Rhodes Island Standard Combat Sword should be equipped if the player is going to use Chi Xiao - Unsheath/Shadowless often to make it more effective.
2. The SWO-Y Module, Good Old School Days, causes Ch'en's attacks ignore 70 DEF in addition to increasing her ATK and DEF. Once upgraded, Blade Art's buffs are increased.

Base skills

1. Integrity & Capability makes every Lungmen Guard Department Operator in the Control Center (including Ch'en herself) restore 0.05 per hour for Operators assigned there while Ch'en is assigned to the Control Center.
2. Police Superintendent increases the clue search rate by 25% while Ch'en is assigned to the Reception Room.

Summary

Despite the difficulties in using her effectively, Ch'en is an excellent Swordmaster Guard whose devastating skills allow her to easily dispatch just about any enemy in her way and often leads you into victory, like a roaring dragon who cuts down all in its path.
