• His codename refers to a horse-drawn machine gun (тача́нка/тачанка) that was widely used in Eastern Europe during World War I.
• Tachanka's Shumika Launcher is based on the Kulakov grenade launcher, a prototype grenade launcher designed in the USSR during World War II by Captain Kulakov. As the first revolving grenade launcher in the world, it was made from a cut-down Mosin-Nagant rifle with a large revolving fore-end attached in front. However, it is not widely adopted due to having many issues and not meeting requirements, such as being excessively heavy for a handheld weapon (33 lb; 15 kg) and hard to handle.
• Tachanka's design in the Arknights collab is the reworked version introduced in Operation Shadow Legacy, which is done under Ubisoft Montreal's request.
• Tachanka's Lord outfit is a reference to the popular Rainbow Six Siege community meme about him, "Lord Tachanka."
  • The word "Lord" made up of bullet holes can be seen above Tachanka in his Elite 2 artwork.
• Tachanka is voiced by his current voice actor, Vlado Stokanic, instead of Anatoly Zinoviev.
• Tachanka is the first Rainbow Six Siege Operator who was announced to appear on the then-unnamed Operation Originium Dust during the Thank You Celebration livestream in the CN server. His introduction as the "welfare" Operator of Operation Originium Dust is due to his popularity in Rainbow Six Siege and to appeal for the game's players who also play Arknights.
• Tachanka is one of the few Operators in Arknights to receive an Outfit at the same time as their release. The other Operators with this distinction are April and Ash.
• Tachanka is illustrated by Cenm0 (who notably illustrates Bubble and Liskarm's Overload outfit), but the illustrator is credited as "Ubisoft" in-game. This is due to the fact that Ubisoft Montreal, the developer of Rainbow Six Siege, acts as the art director for all Team Rainbow Operators. This is also the case with his Lord outfit.
• Tachanka is the only member of the Swordmaster Guard class who doesn't use bladed weapons.
