Because Durin is one of the very few of her namesake who stays in Rhodes Island, there is a growing stereotype among the R.I. operators that the Durins are lazy ones who like to sleep all day which is proven untrue when Myrtle, the self-proclaimed Generalissimo of all Durins, joined R.I. out of the blue, where her jovial and caring attitude as well as her superb commanding skills have largely dispelled the negative opinion towards the Durins. On the battlefield, Myrtle carries a white banner and a golden apple which she uses them to inspire her allies and bolster their morale.

Introduction

Myrtle is a 4★ Standard Bearer Vanguard who specializes in DP-Recovery and Healing. What defines Myrtle as a Standard Bearer Vanguard is she can neither attack nor block enemies while her skill is active, making her ill-suited for direct combat and should be placed out of the way of enemies especially due to her below-average overall stats. On the flipside, Myrtle's DP cost is among the lowest of all Vanguards with 8 at maximum Potential; tied with Fang and Plume under the same condition, and only beaten by Yato.

Myrtle can be purchased as part of the Starter Pack in the Packs Store since So Long, Adele in the Global server, making her relatively accessible.

Talent

Glistening gives all Vanguards HP regeneration while Myrtle is deployed.

Skills

  1. Support β generates 14 DP over 8 seconds. It is worth noting that all future Standard Bearer Vanguards use an upgraded version of Support β, Support γ, as their first skill.
    • When both Support skills are compared, Support β has lower SP cost and higher initial SP, which combined with Myrtle's lower DP cost, allows her to have an advantage in rapidly generating DP in the early game. However, Support γ are more efficient due to its superior DP to SP ratio, and thus more suited for the later stages of the operation.
  2. Healing Wings generates 16 DP over 16 seconds, during which Myrtle heals a friendly unit in surrounding tiles to her by a portion of her ATK every second.

Operator Module

The BEA-X Module, "Private Collections", increases the block count of the Operator ahead of Myrtle by 1 while her skill is active in addition to increasing her maximum HP and DEF. Once upgraded, Glistening's HP regeneration rate is increased.

Base skills

  1. Negotiation increases Trading Post order limit by 5 and reduces Myrtle's morale drain rate by 0.25 per hour while she is assigned to one.
  2. Leader increases the morale recovery rate of all Operators resting in the same Dormitory as Myrtle (including Myrtle herself) by 0.15 per hour.

Summary

Myrtle is a great introduction to the Standard Bearer Vanguards due to being able to generate large sums of DP in a short time span to facilitate rapid deployment of Operators, especially high-cost ones. For this reason, Myrtle is affectionately called a "sunflower" by the community.

Those who underestimate Myrtle due to her being a Durin are surely making a big mistake, as she is able to pave the way for her allies to save the day!
