• Hoederer's name may have been taken from a character in the stageplay Les Mains sales by Jean-Paul Sartre. Parts of Darknights Memoir and its related characters' story thematically parallel this play, though Hoederer himself is dissimilar to Sartre's Hoederer.
• His name is pronounced as "Hedley" in other servers such as W's Fugue dialogues and Ines', and the EN server previously rendered it as such until it was changed in unspecified period. His name is still this in non-English servers, for example, his Japanese name is rendered "ヘドリー".
• He is the first male 6★ Sarkaz Operator.
• Among the playable Operators, Hoederer underwent the most amount of design changes from his NPC sprite, three times in total.
• Before Hoederer's introduction as a playable character in Episode 13, the Arknights community had been preparing themselves for the worst scenario such as his ultimate death as he was known for carrying too many "death flags" throughout the story. However, during the April Fool event of 2023 in the CN server, The Ultimate Beautiful Girl, Eureka's livestream featured a username in the live chat titled "One-Eyed Spy", and the name bore strong connections with Hoederer's characteristics. After he became playable, many burst into laughter that Hoederer survives his "death flags" just because of that mere April Fool joke.
  • Since then, Hoederer's drastic change in character has become a joke in the Arknights community, He has been funnily depicted as an ardent VTuber lover, or a "chad oshi/simp" in Internet slang, who strongly supports (or sometimes "worship" in some extreme cases) Eureka.
  • Likely as a response to these, Hypergryph announced the release and pre-order of Eureka's action figures on April 22nd, 2024, which is Hoederer's birthday.
• Prior to the release of Episode 14, Hoederer belonged to Rhodes Island faction.
• Hoederer is the unit with the highest base ATK (at 1576), beating out Ulpianus who has 1569 base ATK.
