Chongyue is a 6★ Fighter Guard who specializes in Nuker, and only available from the Festival limited headhunting banners starting from Solitude Universal. Being limited banners, the "pity" system from other banners are not carried over to every Festival banner, but compensate that, Chongyue has a 70% chance in Solitude Universal and a 30% chance Reap of Millennia to be the 6★ Operator that appears in a pull, and he can be purchased at the Certificate Store for 300 Headhunting Data Contract icon.png while a Festival banner starting from Solitude Universal is up.

As a Fighter Guard, Chongyue has a very low attack interval of ~0.8 seconds and low DP cost of 9 (11 from Elite 1), which makes him excel in dueling enemies with low DEF and can be easily deployed in the early game. Due to the way damage calculation works in Arknights, however, Chongyue can only scratch enemies with high DEF especially since his ATK is on the lower spectrum to offset the aforementioned quirk. Defensively, Chongyue can only block a single enemy and has lower HP but higher DEF than Dreadnought Guards.

Talents

  1. An End to War gives Chongyue's normal attacks a chance to apply a short-lasting debuff on the target that causes them to take more damage from his attacks and skills.
  2. All Are Guests has Chongyue restore 3 SP when he managed to defeat at least one enemy with his skills.

Skills

  1. Abundant has offensive SP recovery and can store up to three charges, which deals Physical damage equal to a greater portion of Chongyue's ATK towards the enemy within his range that he would attack when activated. As soon as Abundant stores three charges, Chongyue will expend them all to release multiple instances of it based on the amount of charges.
  2. Whisk can store up to two charges and deals Physical damage equal to a greater portion of Chongyue's ATK towards enemies (including aerial ones) in the surrounding tiles and Levitates those who are being affected by An End to War. Once the An End to War debuff expires, the Levitated enemies will land and have the debuff refreshed in addition to receiving Physical damage equal to an even greater portion of Chongyue's ATK.
  3. Anatta has offensive SP recovery, which deals Physical damage equal to a larger portion of Chongyue's ATK towards the enemy within his range that he would attack and other enemies in a small radius around the target when activated. After Chongyue activates Anatta five times in a row, his range is extended to the two adjacent tiles and he will attack twice in each attack (and by extension, recovers 2 SP each time), and Anatta will be automatically activated whenever it is charged and deals a second damage instance.
    • Due to Anatta's very high ATK multiplier and low SP cost, Chongyue can often inflict heavy damage even on some high-DEF enemies.

Base skills

Chongyue's base skills provides various improvements while he is assigned to the Control Center.

  1. I am I increases Chongyue's morale drain rate by 0.5 per hour and provides 5 Worldly Plights for every Sui Operator in facilities other than Dormitories.
  2. Solitary Light restores the morale of working Operators at a rate of 0.05 per hour which is further increased by 0.05/h for every 20 Worldly Plights. If there is a better effect however, it will take precedence over Solitary Light.

Summary

For his sheer rarity, Chongyue is an excellent Fighter Guard who rather than beating his foes into submission, choose to take them down in a quick manner. He can be as calm as an enlightened old man willing to spread peace, but he can also be as tough as an experienced general paving path for a nation's glory.
