Operator trivia: Luo Xiaohei

  • According to MTJJ, the director of the eponymous animation, Xiaohei is based on his previous pet cat.[1]
  • While his name literally means "small and black," he possesses white hair in his human form.
    • However, Xiaohei's original hair was indeed in total black as attested in the The Legend of Hei that acts as the series' prequel; the transition happened when Fengxi stole much of his space-manipulation power.
    • His white hair lasted until the All Living Creatures Arc where his hair color returned to the original black one.
  • Xiaohei is the first Operator having two forms (his human and animal forms) both in his artwork and in the game.
  • Xiaohei, Conviction, and Nine-Colored Deer are the only Operators whose Potential cannot be raised by any means.
  • Even though Xiaohei is stated to have two different Japanese CVs, Kana Hanazawa and Shanxin, the former only voices his Spirit form dialogues while his cat meows are voiced by the latter (who is also Xiaohei's Chinese CV).
    • This makes him the second Operator whose voices may differ after Mudrock, where most of Xiaohei's RIIC dialogues differ based on his artwork (cat meows for the base artwork, Spirit form for the Elite 2 artwork) while he uses cat meows while Skill-LuoXiaohei1.png Tail Afterimage is active during operations.
    • There are few minor differences in the meows between the Japanese and Chinese dialogues, most notably when Xiaohei says Arknights in the login screen.
  • Xiaohei is voiced by Emi Lo in the English dub of The Legend of Hei. Despite this, he does not come with English dialogues when BW is released in the Global server, possibly because The Legend of Luo Xiaohei has no official English dubs. This also explains why Xiaohei does not come with Korean dialogues as well.
