• His codename means "feathery clumps of falling snow" in West Greenlandic. His overall design is also based on the Inuit parka.
• Qanipalaat has the traits of an Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) with one appearing in his Elite 2 artwork.
• Qanipalaat is the first ever Male Core Caster to be released since Steward and the first Core Caster to be released in almost 2 years and 5 months since Absinthe.
• Qanipalaat's English dialogues contain several words from Lule Sámi, befitting of his origins as a Samifjod.
  • His English CV, Kim Kasin, is a Norwegian, one of the countries where Lule Sámi is spoken, and surprisingly fluent enough in Lule Sámi in addition to Finnish as seen in this video.
