The Pine-Smoked Bacon reduces the DP cost of Operators who ate it by 4 (5 for the enhanced version in Tales Within the Sand, which also increases maximum HP by 3%). In Fire Within the Sand, it can be recycled into 50 Electrolyte Isotonics; in Tales Within the Sand, it is worth 90 Energy when used to make Energy Drink and the effects last for 6 days after eaten.
