• His Chinese codename literally means "to pause the song flow" whereas his name in English likely derives from Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, a German dramatist during the Enlightenment era.
• His family name, Maeyer, likely derives from Joachim Meyer the Federfechter, and the weapon he holds is the German Zweihänder.
• Lessing has the traits of an argali (Ovis ammon) similar with Beeswax and Carnelian, which can be seen from the shape of her horns. Its manifestation could be seen in his Elite 2 artwork.
• His attire is somewhat reminiscent of Kirigaya Kazuto/"Kirito" from Sword Art Online, making this a minor joke in the CN community.
• Lessing is the first 6★ male Dreadnought Guard to be released and the second male Operator released as part of a Celebration event after Vigil.
• Lessing is the first Operator whose dialogues in different languages (English and German) are voiced by the same CV (Jesse Grimm).
