  • Her name is a variant of the Greco-Roman name Agnes, meaning "holy." A very prominent figure who bears such name is Agnes of Rome (called Saint Ines in Spanish-speaking world), a Christian female martyr who, according to legends, miraculously survived two executions.
    • Along with Hoederer, she is directly named after a character of Jean-Paul Sartre's work, hers being Inez (or Ines) from Huis Clos - a postal clerk who killed herself and her girlfriend through poison and is stuck with the other main characters. Unlike them, however, she is the only one who seems to recognize the power of rhetoric and frankly admits that she's a bad person.
  • A goat is present in her Elite 2 artwork, revealing her race identity as a Caprinae who disguises herself as a Sarkaz. Nevertheless, The goat/caprine bears symbolism on and/or association with her:
    • Goats are commonly associated with devils in Christianity, as in popular depiction of Satan and Baphomet in Gnosticism, beffiting her Sarkaz identity.
    • Saint Agnese/Ines is often associated with sheep, and she is commemorated through the blessing of the lamb on the feast of Saint Agnes.
  • In W's Fugue dialogue, she has been jokingly comparing Ines' head with potatoes. Thus, she is nicknamed "Potato Head" in the Arknights community. Furthermore, Hypergryph acknowledges this nickname through various ways, one of which being an official merchandise by CHOEARTH that is a potato-like purse featuring her face.
  • Prior to the release of Episode 14, Ines belonged to Rhodes Island faction.
