The thirteenth tutorial operation in Arknights, TR-13 gives an insight on how to stall dangerous enemies by deploying an friendly unit to intercept them on the way.
Deploy Fang on F5 followed by Lava on E5, both facing right, to handle the initial waves of enemies. After a while, a Senior Caster will spawn from B10, and Dobermann notes that it is best to intercept the Senior Caster before they could wreak havoc on the other Operators, and Melantha will be available for deployment.
Do exactly as Dobermann says by deploying Melantha next to the Senior Caster on B8 so that Melantha will block and kill them, and survive the ordeal due to her high HP, keeping the rest of the team safe from the Senior Caster's AoE attacks. If the player wanted, they can also deploy Jessica on C7 facing right to help Melantha, or on E4 facing right to support Fang and Lava.
