The twelfth tutorial operation in Arknights, TR-12 gives an insight on how to deploy friendly units in a specific formation to counteract certain situations such as enemy AoE (area-of-effect) attacks.
The only enemy in this operation, a Senior Caster, spawns shortly after the start, which Dobermann notes to have an attack capable of damaging friendly units adjacent to the target, and suggests that the Operators are to be spread out to minimize the damage they could receive.
Do as Dobermann instructs by deploying Hibiscus on C7 facing left, Jessica on D6 facing down, and Plume on B6 facing left. This way, the Senior Caster will only attack Plume and as Hibiscus and Jessica are not adjacent to her, they won't be caught in the Senior Caster's AoE attack, allowing Hibiscus to focus healing Plume and keeping her alive long enough until the Senior Caster is taken out.
