• It is named after Pompeii, an ancient Roman city that is destroyed on the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, referencing its volcanic habitat and being the cause of the Siesta volcano's disturbance.
  • Ironically, its name refers the city destroyed by the volcano, and not the volcano itself.
• Due to its multi-target attack which resembles that of Eyjafjalla's Volcano, there is a meme in the Arknights community which depicts Pompeii as Eyjafjalla's pet.
• Along with the Sarkaz Centurion, Pompeii is the only boss where more than one of them appears in a single operation (two Pompeiis appear in FA-6 and Water and Fire Union).
