- It is possible that the 3 in "Mon3tr" might stand for the Cyrillic letter З (pronounced "z").
- З resembles another Cyrillic letter Э, representing "e" in Latin alphabets. It is more likely of a pun that combines "s" and "e" together in the form of the number 3 in Mon3tr.
- Interestingly though, Kal'tsit's Operator Module name is stated as "Mon2tr", which means that the number actually represents its various versions.
- Hai Mao had drawn Kal'tsit's and Mon3tr's concept art in 2015 as part of Pixiv Fantasia T, a collaborative effort of popular pixiv artists to created a varied and diverse shared universe of artwork following a fantasy theme, long before her introduction in Arknights. For more information, see this link to his Pixiv account.Hai Mao's older concept art for Kal'tsit and Mon3tr.
- In this artwork, Mon3tr was originally named "Mon5tr." But most of the character traits remains the same with the current one. The 5 likely represents "s" as well as the year 2015 when the illustration was published.
- This is not the only case of an Arknights character predating Arknights and being previously an original character of the artist's. It is also the case for KuroBlood and Fumizuki.
- Arknights' creative ethos can be explained by Hai Mao's experience with Pixiv Fantasia, as he is its creative director, and they share a lot in common.
- Kal'tsit and Mon3tr's symbiotic relationship is often compared to the "Stands" from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, with Mon3tr doing most of the fighting, just like a Stand would.
