Operator overview: Ebenholz

Ebenholz is a 6★ Mystic Caster who specializes in DPS. As a Mystic Caster, Ebenholz's attacks deal Arts damage to one target at a time with a range of 2×2 tiles ahead of him with a 1-tile extension up front that is improved to 2×3 tiles ahead of him at Elite 1, as well as very high ATK which is the highest of all Casters, at the expense of high attack interval almost on par with Splash Casters. When he is not attacking, Ebenholz periodically stores his attacks, up to a maximum of three, and the next time he attacks, all of the stored attacks will be released simultaneously; therefore, should Ebenholz stores three attacks, he will attack in a burst of four hits on the next attack, essentially quadrupling the damage dealt!

Talents

  1. Dynamics increases the damage dealt by Ebenholz's stored attacks and allows him to store one extra attack which he will only use against elite and boss enemies.
  2. Appoggiatura deals an additional instance of Arts damage when Ebenholz attacks enemies who have no other enemies around them.

Skills

  1. Like the other Mystic Casters' first skill, Quickening Presto alters Ebenholz's range to covering the 4 tiles ahead of him and greatly reduces him attack interval, but reduces the damage dealt by each hit of his attacks while active.
  2. Desolate Echoes has Ebenholz expend his stored attacks (including the one from Dynamics) to summon Old Day Remnants equal to the amount of stored attacks plus one (thus Ebenholz will summon at least 1 Remnant and at most 5 Remnants) on any open, deployable tile within his range (prioritizing those with a ground enemy on it or close to one) when charged, which will activate when a ground enemy (and only ground enemies) is in a radius of 1.5 tiles around it after a delay of 1 second, dealing Arts damage to enemies in the surrounding tiles to the Remnants and pulls them towards it with a force of 1, but will disappear after 30 seconds if not activated.
  3. Sound of Silence buffs Ebenholz's ATK and ASPD, and makes Dynamics more effective, but he will only attack elite and boss enemies while active, and can be deactivated at any point throughout its duration.
    • Due to an oversight as of the release of Lingering Echoes in the Global server, Ebenholz does not attack certain elite enemies while Sound of Silence is active, notably "Envies" and "Furies", so exercise caution.

Operator Modules

  1. The MSC-X Module, Originium Dice Case, allows Ebenholz to store a fourth attack in addition to increasing his ATK and ASPD. Once upgraded, the damage increase to the stored attacks through Dynamics is enhanced.
    • Originium Dice Case is great at improving Ebenholz's specialty against elite and boss enemies, allowing him to deal considerably more damage against them.
  2. The MSC-Y Module, "Theory Expositor", increases Ebenholz's ASPD by 30 so long as he stores at least one attack in addition to increasing his maximum HP and ATK. Once upgraded, Appoggiatura's damage is increased and it will deal larger AoE Arts damage if there are enemies around the target.
    • Unlike Originium Dice Case, "Theory Expositor" makes Ebenholz more of a versatile, general use Caster, especially when compared to the other Mystic Casters.
  3. The MSC-Δ Module, Lineage of Decay, causes Ebenholz to inflict Necrosis Damage to an enemy whenever he deals Arts damage towards them equal to 8% of the damage dealt in addition to increasing his maximum HP more than "Theory Expositor" and RES. Once upgraded, Appogiatura's damage is increased and it also deals an additional instance of Elemental damage equal to a small portion of Ebenholz's ATK when he attacks enemies who are under Necrosis Damage's burst effect.
    • While "Lineage of Decay" only provides a small improvement to Appogiatura's damage, the added Necrosis damage makes him less reliant on his charges and the additional damage from Necrosis burst helps wear down bulky enemies that cannot be defeated in one attack by Originium Dice Case.

Base skills

Ebenholz's base skills improve Trading Post efficiency while he is assigned to one.

  1. Musicianship provides 1 Perception Information for every Operator resting in Dormitories and converts Perception Informations into Soundless Resonances at a 1:1 ratio.
  2. Lingering Melody increases order acquisition rate by 1% for every 4 Soundless Resonances. At Elite 2, Lingering Melody becomes Harmony Astray with a lower Soundless Resonance threshold of 2.

Summary

Ebenholz is an excellent Mystic Caster who focuses on dispatching tough foes by unleashing devastating attacks when given the opportunity to build up his strength.

He may not be an apple that falls close to the tree, but Graf von Urtica will lay waste to enemies in his way with his Arts as easy as eins, zwei, und drei!
