Concept

• Ashlock's family is indirectly responsible for Flametail's infection and the destruction of her home, referencing the fact that native red squirrels (which Flametail is based on) in Europe are threatened by invasive eastern gray squirrels (which Ashlock is based on) that can displace them through greater fitness and the spread of diseases that the gray squirrels have immunity to, such as squirrelpox.
• The cross at the bottom of Ashlock's Eilte 2 skin resembles a Maltese cross, which was historically used by the Knights Hospitaller.
