Concept and etymology[edit]
- Interestingly, Chernobyl, the reference for Chernobog, means "wormwood" in Ukrainian, the same plant Absinthe's namesake alcohol is made from.
- Her real name, Zoya, is likely derived from the Soviet partisan Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya who was killed for refusal of surrender, which is similar to how her father did when facing the mob in the Peterheim Middle School.
