Don't underestimate this albino Savra; nicknamed "the Scimitar of the Bloody Valley", the old man was once a member of the Sargonia rangers who battled against the powerful lords. He carries the name of his organization and has an adequate combat experience learnt from the past. As a skilled archer, Rangers joined Rhodes Island as part of Op A4 and a comrade-in-arms to Noir Corne and Yato. Outside the battlefield, he will share his adventurous stories to younger generation so that the legacy of "the Rangers" shall be carried on.

Rangers is one of the protagonists of Operation Originium Dust.

Gameplay

Rangers is a 2★ Marksman Sniper given as one of the starting Operators. As a Marksman Sniper, Rangers has a range of 3×3 tiles with a 1-tile extension up front, targets aerial enemies over ground ones when attacking, and possesses good ATK, low attack interval, decent HP and DEF, and low DP cost relative to other Snipers. Being a 2★ Operator, Rangers cannot be promoted and is stuck at the maximum level of 30.

Talent

Anti-Air Master increases the damage dealt by Rangers against aerial enemies by 50%.

  • Combined with his high attack rate at higher Potential, Rangers can be quite effective in shooting down flyers, but his low stats means that he won't last long against flyers which can retaliate such as Monster Mk IIs and Arts Masters A1.

Base skills

  1. Personnel Management α increases the recruitment tag refresh generation rate by 20% while Rangers is assigned to the Human Resources Office.
  2. Strong Despite Years increases byproduct rate by 60% while Rangers is assigned to the Workshop.[note 1]

Summary

Rangers is a good Marksman Sniper for earlier contents, especially in operations which feature flying enemies as he can shoot them down quickly and easily. As the player progresses however, Rangers will eventually be outperformed by his higher rarity counterparts, but his high attack rate, low DP cost, and effectiveness against fliers mean that he can still serve well as a reserve/backup Operator.

Notes

  1. Before an update, this base skill is known as Skillful Craftsman and has a lower effect of 50%.
