• Her name derives from Ferdinand Magellan, the Portuguese explorer notable for his circumnavigation of the world, and the Magellanic penguin (Spheniscus magellanicus), the species named after the said explorer as well.
  • Magallan thus is currently the only Liberi based on a flightless bird.
• Magallan has been a subject of several memes in the Arknights community:
  • There are jokes in which Skadi sees Magallan and Emperor as food, referring to the fact that orcas hunt penguins. This is also applied to Pudding as well.
  • In the CN community, Magallan's name becomes a joke by simply shifting it with any name that contains the character 麦 or 伦 such as "麦迪文 (the Hong Kong rendering of Matt Damon or the Warcraft character Medivh)," "哥伦布 (Christopher Columbus)," "麦当娜 (Madonna)," "周杰伦 (Jay Chou)" or even "麦当劳 (McDonald's)."
• Magallan is the only Summoner Supporter whose summon is not ground-based, but instead she summons airborne drones.
• Despite her class literally being Summoner, Magallan does not have the Summon tag, and as such the recruitment tag combination Top Operator + Summon does not guarantee the player will get Magallan despite what common sense suggests.
• The title of Magallan's Paradox Simulation, "Unlimited Scientific Works", is an obvious reference to Unlimited Blade Works.
