• Kirara's name is a perfect case of doukun'iji (同どう訓くん異い字じ) in Japanese: having different Kanji but with the same furigana:
  • "Kirara" the first name actually means mica in Japanese (雲母きらら), whereas "Kirara" the codename is the transliteration of said mineral formed by two synonymous Kanji, 綺 (きki, "beauty") and 良 (らra, "good"). Technically speaking, her codename in Kanji should be written as 綺良々 since it has the two ra; her Chinese codename is the result of omitting the iteration mark 々.
  • Because of the doukun'iji, her names are not translated well in the EN and KR servers; "Kirara" is both her first name and her codename, but the difference of their meaning is completely omitted in the process, causing confusion to players in CN and JP servers.
• Kirara has the traits of a mimic octopus (Thaumoctopus mimicus). A mimic octopus in bluish color scheme, identical to part of Kirara's attire, is present in her Elite 2 artwork.
  • Mimic octopus possesses light brown color which is similar with that of mica, hence her name.
• Kirara's AMB-X Operator Module shows a dragon-like creature in the game screen which similar to a Barioth.
• Along with Pudding and Specter (the Unchained), Kirara is the only Infected Aegir.
