Historical Reconstruction is Sarkaz's Furnaceside Fables' enhancement system.

Overview

Historical Reconstruction is improved by spending Lost Myth and are arranged similarly to Expeditioner's Joklumarkar's Cross-cultural Comparison, divided into four stages with each having various different nodes of four types that must be unlocked to unlock the other nodes and proceed into the next stage.

Efficiency-Enhancing nodes improve the effectiveness of friendly units.
Exploration-Expanding nodes expand the nodes that may be available during a run.
Squad-Extending nodes, as the name suggests, unlocks three of the four new Squads exclusive to Furnaceside Fables.
Narrator's Imagination nodes, which have various effects that are only active in a certain difficulty and does not require Lost Myths to unlock.

Like its predecessors Cognitive Shaping and Cross-cultural Comparison, Historical Reconstruction is applied to all modes, including Narrator List.

Efficiency-Enhancing
- Friendly units have their maximum HP, ATK, and DEF increased by 20%.
- Starts with +12 , +2 Objective Shields, 1 Idea, +2 Burden Threshold, and +1 squad size and Unit Limit.
- Earns +33% Command Level EXP and +10% Soul Bookmark.
Exploration-Expanding
- Lost and Found, Possibility, and Scout nodes may appear.
- Operators sent away on a Scout node returns with 1 Idea.
- Receives a Thought after clearing an operation without losing Life Points.
- Increases the Burden Threshold provided by 4★ and 5★ Operators assigned as Burden Operators by 1.
Squad-Extending
- Blueprint Surveying Squad, Knowledgeable Squad, and Revenant Escort Squad is now unlocked.
- Blueprint Surveying Squad now has the player start with +1 Idea.
- Knowledgeable Squad now increases the initial Burden Threshold by 10.
- Revenant Escort Squad now has the player receive 2 Inspirations upon entering a new floor.
Narrator's Imagination

  - Leader Squad now has the player start with +5 Life Point cap.
  - Earn +2% Soul Bookmarks.
  - Starts with +2 .
- 三千往返的构筑 (Face the Revenants +6 or higher) effects:
  - Support Squad now has the player start with +30 .
  - Earn +2% Soul Bookmarks.
  - The Rogue Trader has two additional wares.
- 一万循环的通视 (Face the Revenants +9 or higher) effects:
  - Spearhead Squad now increases friendly units' ATK and DEF by 20%.
  - Earn +2% Soul Bookmarks.
  - Increases the Burden Threshold provided by 4★, 5★, and 6★ Operators assigned as Burden Operators by 1.
