- Her codename is actually a reference to her buffalo horns, which resemble the eponymous bread. A silhouette of a piece of croissant can be seen on the left corner of her Elite 2 artwork.
- Croissant's dialogue is spoken in Kansai-ben, a Japanese dialect which is often associated with funny or talkative people in Japanese culture.
- Her English dialogues are both rendered and spoken as a stereotypical Southern dialect.
- Her Korean dialogues are spoken with Gyeongsang dialect, specifically from Busan area. This makes her the only Operator whose voice lines are spoken in three different dialects.
- Despite her name however, Croissant herself does not contain any elements or references from France.
