- She is named after the former name of Sri Lanka which is also the namesake of the Ceylon tea, known for containing antioxidants and commonly used in tea beverages.
- Ceylon has the traits of a blue jay (Cyanocitta cristata). Several of them are present in her Elite 2 artwork.
