  • The English title of the Troupe Master, "Tragodia", derives from the Greco-Latin word for "tragedy," tragoedia.[1]
  • The Troupe Master has heavy parallels with Dionysus/Bacchus, the God of Wine in Greco-Roman mythology.
    • Dionysus is also known as the god of theatre and madness amongst other things, which is similar to the Troupe Master's areas of interest.
    • He was able to gift his followers with "Divine Madness," which may drive them to do unreasonable things simultaneously, such as murder or violence.
    • Certain myths portray Dionysus as having died and then was born again, similar to what is described in Proof of Longevity.png Proof of Longevity and the Troupe Master having many titles across the centuries.
    • Dionysus' festival celebrations often included dramatic re-enactments of his myth, which were the initial driving force behind the development of theatre in Western culture.
  • The Troupe Master may also be a reference to The Birth of Tragedy from the Spirit of Music, an analysis of theatre and drama written in 1872.
