• His codename is a reference to the eponymous alcoholic drink from Mexico.
• Tequila has the traits of a Golden Retriever, with one being present beside him in his Elite 2 artwork.
• Tequila, then unnamed, was teased at the Arknights CN's 2nd anniversary livestream as one of the Operators set to appear in the then-upcoming Summer event, Dossoles Holiday.
• Tequila is the first operator to be able to cause damage to his attackers when attacked with talent instead of skill, athough he can only do this when his skill is not active.
