• Gummy has the traits of a sun bear (Helarctos malayanus), which is confirmed by its scientific name found on her coat and her name in the game files.
• Her Cyrillic and Chinese names simply means "Gum," while her English name is likely a reference to gummy bear, originally known as Gummibär.
  • Interestingly, her Cyrillic name is also an abbreviation for the GUM department store (Russian: Государственный универсальный магазин, Gosudárstvennyj Universáľnyj Magazín). This reference connects to Gummy's robust character in daily life as well as her role in Rhodes Island's kitchen.
• Her real name, Lada, also shares a name similar to a popular car brand in Russia, known for its affordability and good value for money.
• For some reason Gummy's bang is shaped similar to a shell-shaped dinner roll bread.
• Gummy's Russian VA, Varvara Sarantseva is known for voicing Masha in the popular Russian animated series Masha and The Bear. Some Russian players joked that finally Masha has become the bear instead of befriending one.
