- While the Durins are named after the eponymous dwarves from J. R. R. Tolkien's literatures, most of them lack the classical bearded, muscular bodies. Instead, they bear more resemblances with the Hobbits such as their short stature, feeble bodies, and peaceful nature.
- The Durins' surnames are always based on any physical object or a concept which is likely based on the naming style of the famous Dwarf Thorin Oakenshield.
