- The fact that all female Elafias except Gitano have antlers contradicts the fact that only male deer possess them in our world. This is likely based on the case that some species of female deer grow them occasionally, especially in the reindeer/caribou family (Rangifer).[1][2]
- Giraffes are categorized as "Elafia" because the Chinese name for giraffes is called "long-necked deer (长颈鹿)." Also, in a biological sense, giraffes and deer share the same evolutionary clade as Pecora.
