Vargo
Vargo is an NPC in Arknights. He is supporting character in I Portatori dei Velluti.
Background[edit]
One of the "Signori dei Lupi" of Siracusa, Vargo is a stern and patient wolf Beast Lord. Much like Zaaro, his body is formless and covered by heavy fog, allowing him to warp anywhere he wants. During the latest round of the Signori dei Lupi's game, Vargo sought out a man named Umberto de Montano, who doubled as both a tailor and a famiglia assassin. Impressed by Umberto's watchfulness and quiet strength, Vargo approached Umberto and told him about their game. He believed that Umberto's unassuming nature would surely help him achieve victory.[1]
However, Umberto bargained with him, saying that he would like to raise his son first. When Umberto's son died unexpectedly a few years later, Vargo thought that he would finally uphold his end of the bargain. However, he was enraged when Umberto declined again so he could raise his son's child, a boy named Luchino. It was then that Vargo realised that he had made a mistake choosing Umberto as his Fang, for he cared about nothing except his own family and craftsmanship.[1]

I Portatori dei Velluti[edit]
After Zaaro's defeat during the events of Il Siracusano, Vargo realised that he would surely lose the Signori dei Lupi's game if he did not do something. Against the rules, Vargo surreptitiously visited Ingrid Venezia, an infamously ruthless assassin of Famiglia Venezia before she retreated to a peaceful life in Higashi. In exchange for helping his Fang win the game, he would reveal the identity of who had hurt her daughter many years ago.[2]
In the end though, Ingrid discovered the truth on her own, and his deceit was discovered by the other Signori dei Lupi. Vargo conceded to accept his punishment later as he sensed the death of his Fang. He would later join the other Signore dei Lupi to choose Lappland as their new Alpha.
