Loughshinny boards the Duke of Wellington's ship with the Doctor's help, and finally ends the ducal alliance's stalemate siege of the city as Eblana's purple flames spread onto the city walls. Loughshinny keeps her promise and returns to Tara.

After the battle at the walls, the defeat of the Sarkaz has led to more chaos in the city. Nowell helps Clovisia, leader of the Self-Salvation Corps, save the innocent citizens. He witnesses her death and lets his obsession go.
|
|
A Rose Riverside's Canoe finds the trail of her missing princess in Londinium, but she does not expect yet another parting waiting for her at its end.
|
|
The Nachzehrer King makes a final stand at the Palace of Westhaleg. He lets the Doctor's group through to Theresis, and enjoys his last war alone.
|
|
As the Sarkaz troops withdraw, Catastrophe clouds appear over the capitals of all the Core nations. Amiya stops a fleet that tries to intercept the retreating Sarkaz, and Laterano's main server delivers a revelation about the future.
