With high HP along with decently high defenses although his ATK is initially somewhat low, Mateo proves to be a threat with a variety of offensive tools that can put the pressure on Operators while coordinating his troops to assist him.
While not blocked, fires a burst of 10 shots, each dealing Physical damage equal to Mateo's ATK and the last shot also permanently reduces the target's DEF by 100 (Lv0)/150 (Lv1), which can stack without a limit.
Mateo is immune to Stun, Freeze and Levitate while using the Straight Shot.

When taking damage, throws out three smoke bombs 1, 3, and 5 tiles ahead of Mateo, each releasing a smokescreen covering a radius of 1.3 tiles that renders enemies within invisible and lingers for 30 seconds.
Mateo can only use "Lights Out!" once, which will be refreshed when a Mateo's Bodyguard comes close to him (offset of 1 tile).
