Overview[edit]

Like Terra Investment Masterclass, Duel Channel is similar to Totally Accurate Battle Simulator where two armies of enemies are pitted against each other and players needs to support which side is going to prevail.

In Duel Channel matches, enemies will attack and can block each other, and are divided into two teams: Red (the column of Incursion Points) and Blue (the column of Protection Objectives), down to their HP meter. To prevent matches from going on for too long, all enemies have -50% HP and +50% ATK, meaning they deal more damage but can't take as much as they would normally.

The match is divided into rounds with differing, randomized enemy lineups for each team in each round.

  • Up to Round 5, each team is made up of one enemy.
  • On Rounds 6 and 7, each team is made up of at most two different enemies.
  • From Round 8, each team is made up of at most three different enemies.

Players are given a period of time to choose which team they want to support before each round; once the countdown ends, the round starts and both teams duke it out with each other.

If a round went on for over 60 seconds, a circle will appear where enemies outside it receives an effect similar to that provided by Active Originium tiles where the enemy gains +100% ATK and +50 ASPD but loses 0.5% HP every second that increases by another 0.5% in each tick (which can defeat them). The circle will shrink further every 20 seconds.

The round ends when either team lost all of its members, with the other declared the winner. If both teams lost all of their members at the same time, they will be both declared winners.

Formats[edit]

Duel Channel matches comes in two formats: Gift Contest and Guess Royale.

Gift Contest[edit]

In Gift Contest, the match is divided into 10 rounds and each player starts with 10000 Gifts; a set amount of Gifts that increases in every round will be invested when the player supports a team, and players can opt to skip from supporting teams (essentially abstaining) if one is not sure or don't have enough Gifts. If the supported team wins, the player will gain Gifts equal to the invested amount, but if the team loses, the player will lose that much Gifts instead.

Round Invested Gifts
1 2000
2 2400
3 3000
4 4000
5 5500
6 8000
7 12000
8 18000
9 30000
10 50000

If the player did not support a team when the countdown ends, it will count as skipping.

From Round 6, players can opt to fully support a team by investing ALL of their Gifts, which will return double the invested amount should the supported team wins — go big or go home!

Should a player's Gifts drop to 0, they will be eliminated from the match and can then spectate or leave.

The match ends after Round 10 or when all players are eliminated, and the rankings are calculated on how many Gifts the remaining players have left after each round and at the end of the match. Ties are allowed, in which case one rank could be shared by multiple players.

Guess Royale[edit]

In Guess Royale, players just simply need to choose which team that is going to win; should the supported team loses, the player will be eliminated from the match and can then spectate or leave.

If the player didn't support a team when the countdown ends, they will automatically support either team at random.

Each player has one "elimination shield" that prevents them from being eliminated once — essentially a safeguard if the player messed up early, but the shield will be removed at Round 6 if it still exists by then!

The match ends when there is only one player left or all players are eliminated, and the rankings are calculated on how many rounds the player had lasted. Ties are allowed, in which case one rank could be shared by multiple players.

Multiplayer[edit]

It is possible to play Duel Channel together with other players through a matchmaking system with two options: Matchmake and Group Watch.

  • In Matchmake, the player searches for other random players to be joined together with.
  • In Group Watch, the player hosts a session with a unique number; other players can join in the session by entering the number and the host can share the session's number with other players.

The host can opt for computer-controlled players to fill in the missing player slots, but at least two players must be present before the match could start.

Clicking on another player's icon allows the player to add them as a friend if not already.

Miscellaneous[edit]

  • Players can leave a Duel Channel match at will; doing so will cause the player to be treated as if they had been eliminated from the match, unless if they are already eliminated and are spectating, and the player's standing at the time will be used to calculate the rewards.
  • The player can click the button on the upper-right corner of a screen to cause an emote of the player's choice to fall down from the top of the screen; in multiplayer matches, the player's own emote is colored white. Emotes can also be disabled/enabled by clicking the button to the left of the emotes button.
