Rules[edit]

Qualifiers[edit]

Submission rules
  • All players must use their own account in Global (EN) server and can understand English, the sole language used for the Bingo Boards.
    • Players living in countries which have their own servers — namely China, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan / Hong Kong / Macau — are eligible to participate, as long as they use their own Global server account and can communicate in English.
  • All players must either schedule a live qualify session or submit the following to a Google Forms link posted by Lungmen Dragons:
    • The video of the full run which it must be recorded from the moment the player clicks explore until the final summary that lists the player’s time, uploaded as an unlisted/public YouTube video.
    • The board with completed tiles marks off, varies between the chosen path.
  • Submissions must not use the Set Seed function.
  • Submissions must be played on Facing Souls 9 or above and may or may not reach an ending.
  • Submissions must choose one of the two available methods to qualify; 32 players will qualify in each method:
    • Storyteller’s Tale #1: Fastest to Achieve 13 Points: Players needs to achieve atleast 13 points in the least amount of time.
    • Storyteller’s Tale #2: Highest Point Value: Players needs to achieve as much points as possible. In case of a tie, time will be the deciding factor.
  • In the event that 32 players do not meet qualifications for one method, players will be drawn from remaining submissions from the other method.
  • Players may submit runs to both paths; staffs will decide the qualified path that has the highest chance of qualifying.

Main event[edit]

Format
  • 64 player Single-elimination bracket; divided into 2 halves based on the path taken on the qualifiers.
  • All bingo boards are 5x5.
  • All matches (except the Grand Final) are best-of-1. Grand Final is a best-of-3 instead.
Gameplay rules
  • Matches are conducted on the Lungmen Dragons Discord server, while the Bingo Board for each game is conducted inside a private Bingo Lockout room on the official Lungmen Dragons' website.
  • To win a game, a player must score more points than their opponent by completing a specific objective written on each tile, thus claiming it for themselves.
  • Each match is presided by a referee (or referees) who will actually perform the act of shading the tiles on Bingosync. Thus, players cannot shade the tiles themselves; they must declare to the referee(s) (via voice or text chat) that they have completed a tile or are intending to complete a tile soon, so that the referee(s) may verify their claim.
    • Each tile claimed gives 1 points.
    • Lockout: if a player claims a tile, their opponents cannot claim that tile anymore.
    • Some tiles are specially labelled, like giving 2 or more points, "stealable" (completing the objective overwrites their opponent's claim), only giving points when the time limit ends (End of Timer), and "shareable", allowing a tile to be claimed by both players.
    • Bingo Bonus: if a player claims all 5 tiles horizontally or diagonally, they will gain an additional +2 points.
    • Starting from Last 32, there will be Content Creator Tiles (CC tiles). These tiles are NOT part of the 5x5 bingo board, but are extra objectives created by partner Content Creators. All CC tiles are stealable, but once a player claims ALL CC tiles in a match, they gain +1 point and these tiles will no longer be claimable.
  • Each game varies in length depending on round.
    • All rounds has 10 minutes of viewing the board and planning, then the actual playtime varies in round.
    • Last 64 until Quarter-finals has 50 minutes of playtime.
    • Semi-finals and Grand Final has 60 minutes of playtime.
    • Sudden death overtime: If the game is still tied in points when time expires, it goes into overtime; the first player to claim a tile during this period instantly wins.
      • If an Overtime is triggered while the board is fully shaded, a new board is made to decide the winner.
  • All players must play on the difficulty level Facing Souls 9.
  • Investing or withdrawing Originium Ingots is NOT allowed.
  • Intentionally quitting and restarting a run is permitted. Depending on the situation, it may even be encouraged, or outright required.
    • An Operation Rewards may not be prepared before the match, but may be prepared and claimed during the match.
