Antonio Venezia is an NPC in Arknights. He is an antagonist in I Portatori dei Velluti.
Background[edit]
One of Fabrizio Venezia's adoptive heirs, Antonio Venezia is the current owner of the Venezias' family business, Venezia Trucking. He was formerly a guerrilla fighter of the True Bolívarians who deserted amidst an operation. On that day, he and his squadmates were discovered and captured by the Singas Dynasty's forces while raiding one of their villages. The twenty soldiers used all their possessions to bribe the executioner and spare them and were later transferred to do conscripted labor. However, the officer-in-charge of the POWs' transfer, an overweight, alcoholic Singas nobleman, brought a small truck with only a 10-passenger capacity due to an error on his review process. In reply to the executioner's orders, the driver drew a circle on the POW list indicating that there were only ten people aboard. Antonio and his comrades took the chance to kill and decapitate the driver and later crossed the jungle to escape the country. He worked as a mere thug-for-hire in order to avoid starvation prior to his adoption from Famiglia Venezia.[1][2][3]
For a Bolívarian expatriate, Antonio has proven to be an ambitious, yet cunning made-man, familiar enough with Siracusa's famiglie traditions. As a Perro, he likes to groom his ears and tails to look more similar to a Lupo. Not only he and his transport company are compliant to Nuova Volsinii's New Urban Management Act, he has also been twice awarded as a "outstanding young entrepreneur.” [4] Despite this, Antonio is biased towards Signora Sicilia's control over the mafia and the city's absence of famiglia-centered culture, which he considers a sacrilege. By using the New Urban Management Act and Venezia Trucking's actions, Antonio secretly plots to take over Nuova Volsinii in the name of Famiglia Venezia, and bring about their own order.
