• His codename actually derives from Hai Mao's birthday, February 16, 1991. When converted into hexadecimal, it will be 12FCE48.
• The Latin phrase "deus ex machina" is engraved around the cuffs of his sleeves.

  12F was first designed back in 2014, long before his introduction in Arknights, in which he appeared in an artwork for an online competition by Tencent alongside an unknown Feline woman. Speculations have made that she might be the proto-type for Kal'tsit or even his friend Owl.
